Richland Foods Ltd is a licensed meat processing business located in Kampala, Uganda. It is a Women – owned business by its founders Mrs. Diana Nabukenya Adeyemi, Mrs. Racheal Nanyunja Kamoga and non-executive directors Mr. Femi Adeyemi and Mr. Abel Kamoga. ​ With over 50% of its employees being women, the company is involved in production, processing, marketing and distribution of animal produce from cows, pigs and chicken.

In addition, the company has a sister model farm that breeds the quality of animals we expect from farmers for production, and act as a training ground for farmers on modern and high-quality animal farming.

Richland Foods and Yo’Nyama brand was birthed against the background of Covid 19, where access to quality and affordable meat for balanced diets in homes became a nightmare, this was coupled by the fact that many Ugandans lost their jobs and so purchasing quality expensive imported meats was a luxury many could not afford.

Uganda has quality organic meat, however, the absence of modern state of the art processing plants has denied Ugandan’s access to affordable nutritious value-added products like sausages.

In a bid to close this gap, in 2020, the investors founded RLF to specialize in the business of adding value to organic Beef, Pork and chicken first for the local market but later export. RLF is currently producing out of Makerere University Food science and Technology incubation center with its 1^st sales point at Naluwu Complex in Naguru, Kampala and a 20acre model Farm in Wabitungulu, Zirobwe, Luwero District. We have a range of conveniently packed premium products like Sausages, specialty cuts among others all of which come with recipes to simplify the life of a busy working consumer who values sharing a healthy balanced diet with their families.
